Peter Yapp was a boot and shoe maker and retailer at 200-201 Sloane Street in Knightsbridge, London. The business was active from at least the 1860s to the late 1950s. Despite the company's long history, the only Yapp overprints recorded are on the 1d lilac Inland Revenue issues pictured here.
